ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND – New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh election campaign dropped into St John’s, Newfoundland for a quick stop to make a healthcare announcement and support their local candidate Mary Shortall in the riding of St John’s East.

The NDP has taken a significant hit in the polls by day 13 of the campaign as the Liberal Party scoops up polling number showing them with a six point lead and heading for a majority government.

Singh is the last of the major federal party leaders to visit Canada’s far eastern province in a short election campaign after Liberal leader Mark Carney last week and Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre on Tuesday.

With the Bloq Quebecois being a Quebec only party and the Green’s missing off the national stage it is most like the end of federal leaders visiting Newfoundland this election.
